Acclaimed writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the publisher said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding reports of questionable actions towards young women.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, including a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
